Single-Cell, Spatial Analysis

The CODEX® technology combines the advantages of single-cell biology with histology at single-cell spatial resolution. Capable of imaging 40+ biomarkers on a single tissue, CODEX enables analysis with both high dimensionality and spatial context.

CODEX Software Suite Unlocks the Power of Single-Cell, Spatial Analysis in FFPE Tissue

CODEX data are multi-dimensional in that they contain single cell antibody labeling intensities for up to 40 biomarkers, along with spatial coordinates for thousands of cells per dataset. The accompanying Multiplex Analysis Viewer (MAV) software has sophisticated built-in analysis tools that enable researchers to analyze their data sets.

Ask an Expert: A novel approach for spatial multi-omics with single cell resolution

The Camara lab at the University of Pennsylvania recently developed a method for combining CITE-seq data with ultra-high multiplex immunohistochemistry (mIHC) data obtained with CODEX. This approach, called Spatially-resolved Transcriptomics via Epitope Anchoring (STvEA), maps the CITE-seq transcriptome to spatially resolved CODEX mIHC data, while retaining the single cell spatial resolution that is provided by CODEX. We spoke to Oliver Braubach, PhD, Senior Applications Scientist at Akoya Biosciences, to learn more about this technology and what it means for CODEX users.
